The Honourable Sir David Robert Foskett retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench) with effect from 27 February 2019.

Sir David Foskett (69) was called to the Bar (G) in 1972, took Silk in 1991 and elected a Bencher in 1999. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1992, a Recorder in 1995 and a Deputy High Court Judge in 1998. He was a Member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee from 1997 to 2001. He was appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench) in 2007.  He was a Member of the Civil Justice Council from 2012 to 2014, was Director of Senior Judiciary Training and a Judicial College Board Member and Courts Committee Chairman at the Judicial College from 2013 to 2016 and was Judge in Charge of the Queen’s Bench Division Civil List from 2014 to 2018.
