The Honourable Sir Wyn Lewis Williams retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench) with effect from 10 February 2017.

Sir Wyn Williams (65) was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1974, took Silk in 1992 and was elected a Bencher in 2007. He was appointed a Recorder in 1992, a Senior Circuit Judge (Specialist Chancery Circuit Judge for the Wales and Chester Circuit) in 2004 and a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2007. He was appointed Presiding Judge for the Wales Circuit from 2012 to 2015 and Deputy Chairman for the Boundary Commission for Wales and Chairman of the Lord Chancellor’s Standing Committee on Welsh Language in 2012. He was appointed Chairman of the Wales Training Committee, Judicial College in 2013.
