A new coroner area, “Cambridgeshire and Peterborough”, came into effect on 1 August 2015.
The new area is the result of an amalgamation, proposed by Cambridgeshire County Council in liaison with Peterborough City Council, of the South and West Cambridgeshire, North and East Cambridgeshire and Peterborough coroner areas following the retirement of the South and West Cambridgeshire and North and East Cambridgeshire Senior Coroners, David Morris and William Morris.
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Senior Coroner is David Heming and the Assistant Coroners are: Sam Bass, Belinda Cheney, Martin Oldham, David Osborne, Simon Milburn, David Morris and Anna Spriggs. David Heming has been appointed on a full time basis.
