Queen’s Bench Master Kay QC retired as a Queen’s Bench Master with effect from 26 February 2019. 

Notes to editors 

Queen’s Bench Master Kay QC (70) was called to the Bar (L) in 1972, took Silk in 1996 and elected as a Bencher in 2005. He was appointed a Queen’s Bench Master and Admiralty Registrar in 2009. From 26 February, he has been appointed to sit as a Queen’s Bench Deputy Master in retirement, and will sit as Admiralty Registrar as part of his responsibilities as Deputy Master.
