Registrar of Criminal Appeals, Master of the Crown Office and Queen’s Coroner & Attorney Appointment: Beldam

The Queen has appointed Alexandra Gay Beldam to be the Registrar of Criminal Appeals, Master of the Crown Office and Queen’s Coroner and Attorney on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

 The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Royal Courts of Justice with effect from 5 November 2018.

Notes to editors

 Alexandra Gay Beldam, aged 61 will be known as Master Beldam. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1981.
