Senior Circuit Judge Retirement: McCreath

His Honour Judge Alistair William McCreath retires as a Senior Circuit Judge with effect from 29 April 2017.

His Honour Judge McCreath (68) was called to the Bar (I) in 1972. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1986, a Recorder in 1990, a Circuit Judge in 1996 and the Resident Judge, Worcester Crown Court from 2006 to 2011. He was appointed the Honorary Recorder of Worcester in 2007, Course Director, Criminal Continuation, (Judicial Studies Board) from 2007 to 2011 and a Judicial Member of the Sentencing Council from 2010 to 2013. He was appointed a Senior Circuit Judge and the Resident Judge, Southwark Crown Court, in 2011. He was appointed Honorary Recorder of Westminster in 2012 and Course Director for Long and Complex Trials (Judicial College) in 2015.
