Upper Tribunal Judge Bishopp (70) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1971. He was appointed a part-time Chairman of the VAT and Duties Tribunal in 1990, Chairman of the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal and Chairman of the VAT and Duties Tribunal in 2001, Chairman of the Pensions Regulator Tribunal in 2005 and Chairman of the Claims Management Services Tribunal in 2007. He was appointed a Judge of the Upper Tribunal in 2009 and President of the Tax Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal in 2011.
