Upper Tribunal Judge Retirement: King

Upper Tribunal Judge Peter Duncan King TD retires with effect from 1 April 2019.

Upper Tribunal Judge King TD (71) was called to the Bar (G) in 1970. He was appointed a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1995, a plate Judge Advocate in 1996 (now known as a Deputy Judge Advocate), an Acting Provincial Stipendiary Magistrate (now known as Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court)) in 1998 and an Immigration Adjudicator in 2000. He was appointed a Legal Member (Vice President) of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal in 2004 and a Senior Immigration Judge in 2005 (now known as an Upper Tribunal Judge (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)). He was appointed a Tribunal Member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission in 2013.
