Judge Michael Alec Hunter retires as Vice-Judge Advocate General with effect from 26 December 2019.

Notes to editors 

Judge Hunter (70) was called to the Bar (L) in 1977. He was appointed as a Deputy Judge Advocate in 1984, as Assistant Judge Advocate General in 1990, an Assistant Recorder in 1992 and a Recorder in 1996. He was appointed as the Deputy Judge Advocate General (British Forces Germany) in 1999 and Vice Judge Advocate General of the Armed Forces in 2005.
