District Judge Appointment: Burn
The King has appointed Neil Burn to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Yeovil County Court, with effect from 2 January 2024.
Neil Burn will be known as District Judge Burn. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2008; he was also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2011. In 2019, he was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and a Fee-Paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber.
