In relation to the above numbered case on 13th January 2020, District Judge Bland sitting in the County Court at Lancaster as a District Judge of the County Court, sentenced the Defendant in that case, to a custodial sentence of 26 Weeks for contempt of court on breach of a Suspended Committal Order dated 20th December 2019 and 28 days imprisonment for breach of the Injunction order dated 20 December 2020 both to be served concurrently.

The basis of the sentence imposed is that Joanne Bailey was in breach of the Injunction, by

1. On the evening of 11 January 2020 at approximately 11:00pm, The Respondent caused music to be played at 23 Low Road, Middleton, contrary to clause 5 of the injunction order dated 20 December 2019.
2. On the evening of 11 January 2020 at approximately 11:00pm, The Respondent caused music to be played at 23 Low Road, Middleton, in breach of the suspended committal order dated 20 December 2019

These breaches were contrary to the terms of the Injunction Order and Suspended Committal order both dated 20 December 2019 to which Joanne Bailey was subject, following Joanne Bailey having been found to have committed 11 breaches of the injunction order dated 15th January 2019.
