Pursuant to Practice Direction: Committal for Contempt of Court – Open Court please see below and attached:
In relation to case number 357 of 2017 on 18 December 2019 at the High Court of Justice Business and Property Courts in Leeds Companies Insolvency List I, His Honour Judge Mark Raeside QC sentenced Michael Bailey to 10 months for contempt of court. The basis of that sentence was that in breach of an interim order dated 11 August 2017 and the final order of His Honour Judge Klein dated 25 August 2017 he failed to deliver transfer, surrender or pay to the joint liquidators of Hadley Residential Properties Limited (“the Company”), the cheque or bankers draft for €243,000 representing the proceeds of sale of property of the Company, and £1000 in rental and all account records and financial statements of the Company and has failed to submit the court and the joint liquidators of the Company a witness statement containing full particulars of all property and assets of the Company.
