Appearing for C: Mrs Haque (solicitor)
Appearing for D: Mr Hodgson (Counsel)
- Name of defendant: Tanbir Hussain
- Nature of the contempt of court: associating with a named person contrary to an Injunction Order made pursuant to s. 1 of Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014 made on 26 November 2015.
- Punishment imposed: 6 weeks’ custody. This was the fourth breach of the order by the Defendant. The first two breaches resulted in a suspended prison sentence, the third breach (and activated sentences for the first two breaches) gave rise to a 6 week custodial sentence. Although the most recent breach did not result in harassment, alarm or distress to others, this was the fourth breach of an order lasting only 12 months. The Defendant had shown little regard for the Injunction Order.
