Mr Justice Fordham

Mike Fordham is the Liaison Judge for the Administrative Court in the North of England.

Mr Justice Fordham grew up in Lincolnshire and was educated in local state schools before studying in Oxford and Virginia. He practised as a barrister in public law, human rights, immigration and asylum law. He was for 30 years part-time College Lecturer in Administrative Law at Hertford College Oxford, and a Visiting Fellow of the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law. He became a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal, a Civil and Criminal Recorder and then a Deputy High Court Judge. He was appointed as a High Court Judge in 2020. He is Master of Students at Gray’s Inn and writes the Judicial Review Handbook.
