3 April 2019
This hearing concerns two appeals. The first is an appeal against the Order of Mostyn J (26 July 2018) that dismissed the claim for judicial review. The Appellant, a Kurd of Turkish nationality, was awarded refugee status by the Home Secretary in April 2013. Up to that point he was an asylum seeker. He claims that the decision not to register him on Hillingdon’s housing allocation scheme was unlawful.
The second is an appeal against the Order of Supperstone J (13 July 2018) that allowed in part the claim for judicial review. The Respondents, all of Irish Traveller descent, challenged the Social Housing Allocation Policy of the London Borough of Hillingdon.
