3rd full meeting of SIFoCC planned for March 11-12 2021
The 3rd full meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC) will be held on 11-12 March 2021.
To date, 36 legal jurisdictions have currently registered to attend the online event, with 17 delegations from five continents, led by their own Chief Justices.
The delegation for England and Wales will be led by the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Burnett of Maldon, with the Master of the Rolls, Sir Geoffrey Vos; Chancellor of the High Court Sir Julian Flaux; and Mrs Justice Cockerill, Judge in charge of the Commercial Court.
The two-day conference – the biggest in SIFoCC’s calendar – will be hosted by Singapore and will take place virtually, and is part of a series of events during that week. The conference will be recorded, and this video will be made available online at a later date.
Lord Burnett of Maldon said: “SIFoCC’s global efforts to share judicial best practice in relation to commercial courts bring enormous monetary and social value to the citizens of those jurisdictions which are members.
“I am extremely grateful to Singapore for hosting virtually this third meeting which, I have no doubt, will build on the successful events held first in London and then New York.
“This event is of the highest significance both to justice and to national economic health as evidenced by the attendance of so many of the world’s foremost judicial commercial specialists and Chief Justices from around the globe.”
More details about the coming event are available on the leaflet below.
