Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a judge or magistrate consists of? 

This new series of short videos follows eight judges across different jurisdictions as they share their respective backgrounds and give a first-hand account of what their role entails.  

The series features: Baroness Carr, Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales; Lady Justice Eleanor King; Mrs Justice Mary Stacey; His Honour Judge Mark Lucraft KC, Recorder of London; Tribunal Judge Rachael Vasmer; His Honour Judge Ahmed Nadim; Tribunal Judge Zaiada Bibi; and Magistrate Tom Quarton-Manuel.  

Watch episode one featuring Tribunal Judge Zaiada Bibi talk about her non-traditional journey into the law and how she balances her role as a judge with other responsibilities. 

Episode two features magistrate Tom, who talks about the important role that magistrates play in society.

Episode six features Lady Justice Eleanor King, Court of Appeal Judge in the Civil division, where she speaks about her journey into the law and the work that is carried out in the Court of Appeal.

Episode seven features the Recorder of London, HHJ Mark Lucraft KC, who sits at the Old Bailey in London, where he speaks about the responsibility he feels working on high profile criminal cases.
