We invite you to join us for a 45-minute webinar to hear more about the exciting work of the Family Justice Council (FJC) and what it is like to be a member.

The event will be hosted by Mr Justice Keehan, Deputy Chair of the FJC. He will be joined by our current Legal Adviser and Magistrate members, Bernadette MacQueen and Natalia Schiffrin, alongside our ex-officio member for Cafcass, Barry Tilzey. Members will share a little about their experience on the Council and then we will open up for questions from attendees.

About the Family Justice Council

The Family Justice Council is an interdisciplinary body with members drawn from a cross section of those who work, use, or have an interest in, the family justice system. They include judges, lawyers, doctors, social workers, academics and civil servants. The Council monitors the effectiveness of the family justice system, advising on reforms necessary for continuous improvement and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to family justice in England and Wales.

The Family Justice Council has vacancies for the following two membership roles:

  • Legal Adviser
  • Magistrate

The posts are for three years and are offered without remuneration.
