Crown Court Improvement Group
Remit
Established in September 2021 the aim of the group is to improve the performance of the Crown Court in England and Wales. It reports directly to the Lord Chief Justice.

Senior Presiding Judge (SPJ), Lord Justice Edis.
Membership
Representatives from across the whole Criminal Justice System including Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), the Legal Aid Agency (LAA), His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS), the professions and the judiciary.
