E-Filing pilot goes live

Administrative Court

On 7 August 2023 the Administrative Court introduced a new Case Management System (CMS), the internal element of CE-File, which allows staff direct access to court files.

On 1 October 2024 the Administrative Court Office went live with the E-Filing pilot, the external element of CE-File that allows court users to file claims and relevant material electronically and link to their case on the case management system. This service will be available to court users 24 hours a day on a computer, tablet, or hand-held device from any location to issue and file evidence, pay court fees and review and track their cases. Please note that as CE-File has size restrictions, the Document Upload Centre will still be available for filing large capacity documents (those which exceed 50 MB), and parties can continue to request DUC links in the usual way.

A date for mandatory E-Filing for professional court users has not yet been determined, however. This is being considered and will be communicated to you in due course.

Litigants in Person (unrepresented parties) may also use E-Filing but the court will continue to accept documents via other means from such parties.
