Lord Justice Launcelot Henderson was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1977, and was made a Bencher in 2004. He was Standing Junior Counsel to the Inland Revenue from 1992 to 1995, when he became a QC (now KC). He was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in 2001, and became a High Court Judge of the Chancery Division in 2007. He was also appointed a Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal in 2007. He was a member of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee from 2009 to 2012, and chaired the Judges’ Council Standing Committee on Judicial Library Provision from 2008 to 2013.

He was appointed as a Lord Justice of Appeal on 3 November 2016.

He has been a Distinguished Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, since 2008.
