Mr Justice Stanley
Paul Stanley became one of the judges of the Commercial Court in 2026.
Mr Justice Stanley read law at Cambridge University and Harvard Law School. He was called to the Bar in 1993, and practised as a barrister at Essex Court Chambers, where he acted in a broad range of commercial disputes and financial services cases in court and arbitration. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 2010, and a Deputy High Court Judge in 2023.
He is a co-author, with Mr Justice Jacobs, of successive editions of Liability Insurance in International Arbitration: The Bermuda Form (3rd edition 2021).
