The Administrative Court Judicial Review Guide 2026
The 2026 edition of the Administrative Court Judicial Review Guide is now published and in force.
The Guide was prepared under the supervision of Mr Justice Chamberlain (Judge in Charge of the Administrative Court) and edited by Mr Justice Sheldon and Mr Justice Coppel. Their work was assisted by Jyoti Gill, Freya Mansfield, Philip Shearer, and Ayesha Sharif.
The Guide is essential reading for everyone involved in judicial review proceedings before the Administrative Court, whether lawyers or litigants in person. In line with the practice in previous years, the electronic version is fully hyperlinked to the statutory material, the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions and the key case law.
The new President of the King’s Bench Division, Sir Mark Warby, said: “I wish to record my thanks to all who have contributed to the production of this essential guide and I hope that it will continue to assist all who practise in the Court.” Sir Mark is sworn in as the new President of the King’s Bench Division on Monday 5 October 2026.
