UPON hearing from Counsel for the Claimant
AND UPON the Court considering the Claimant to be a vulnerable witness pursuant to CPR PD1A who is likely to need further special measures in these proceedings, to be requested at the Directions stage
IT IS ORDERED THAT
- The Claimant’s Application for anonymity dated 28 October 2024 is granted.
- The Claimant is permitted to issue these proceedings naming the Claimant as “ASZ” and to give an address c/o the Claimant’s solicitors.
- There is to be substituted for all purposes in these proceedings in place of references to the Claimant by name,
whether orally or in writing, references to the letters “ASZ”. - Pursuant to s.11 Contempt of Court Act 1981, there must be no publication of the identity of the Claimant or of any matter likely to lead to the identification of the Claimant in any report of, or otherwise in connection with, these proceedings.
- The Court file shall be clearly marked with the words “An anonymity order was made in this case on 10 June 2025 and any application by a non- party to inspect or obtain a copy document from this file must be dealt with in accordance with the terms of that Order”.
- Any interested party, whether or not a party to the proceedings, may apply to the Court to vary or discharge this Order, provided that any such application is made on notice to the Claimant’s solicitor and that 7 days’ prior notice of the intention to make such an application is given.
- Pursuant to CPR 39.2(5), a copy of this Order shall be published on the Website of the Judiciary of England and Wales (www.judiciary.uk). For that purpose, a court officer will send a copy of the order by email to the Judicial Office at judicialwebupdates@judiciary.uk.
- The period for the Claimant to comply with CPR 7.5 be extended by a period of 14 days from the date of this Order.
- The Claimant is granted permission to increase the statement of value from £10,000 to £14,000.
- Costs in the case.
