UPON the Order made by Mr Justice Kimblin on 7 January 2026 in the Wilson Solicitors LLP group of claims challenging the Good Character Guidance
AND UPON the Defendant having decided on 15 January 2026 to grant the Claimant in claim AC-2025-LON-003667 British citizenship
AND UPON the parties agreeing that claim AC-2025-LON-003714 be substituted as a Lead Claim in place of claim AC-2025-LON-003667
AND UPON considering the applications for anonymity in claims AC-2025-LON-003506, AC-2025-LON-003713, AC-2025-LON-004307 and AC-2025-LON-003714
BY CONSENT, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
Substitution
- Claim AC-2025-LON-003714 shall be substituted as a Lead Claim in place of claim AC-2025-LON-003667 in the Wilson Solicitors LLP group of claims challenging the Good Character Guidance, and Part A of the Schedule to Mr Justice Kimblin’s Order dated 7 January 2026 shall be amended to this extent. The parties are to seek to agree
an order for the disposal of claim AC-2025-LON-003667. - The Claimant shall have leave to file amended grounds in claim AC-2025-LON-003714 by 4pm on 4 February 2026.
- The deadlines specified in paragraphs 6-8 of Mr Justice Kimblin’s Order dated 7 January 2026 shall each be extended by 7 days.
Anonymity and reporting restrictions in AC-2025-LON-003506, AC-2025-LON-003713, AC 2025-LON-003713, AC-2025-LON-004307 and AC-2025-LON-003714 - Pursuant to CPR 39.2(4) and/or the Court’s inherent jurisdiction and/or s. 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998:
a. the Claimants’ names are to be withheld from the public and must not be disclosed in any proceedings in public; and
b. the Claimants are to be referred to orally and in writing as
GSY in Claim AC-2025-LON-003506.
GUN in Claim AC-2025-LON-003713.
NEA in Claim AC-2025-LON-004307.
GYP in Claim AC-2025-LON-003714. - Pursuant to s. 11 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981, there must be no publication of the identity of the Claimants or of any matter likely to lead to the identification of the Claimants in any report of, or otherwise in connection with, these proceedings.
- Pursuant to CPR 5.4C(4):
a. the parties must within 14 days file a redacted copy of any statement of case filed, omitting the name, address and any other information likely to lead to the identification of the Claimant;
b. if any statement of case subsequently filed includes information likely to lead to the identification of the Claimant, a redacted copy omitting that information must be filed at the same time;
c. unless the Court grants permission under CPR 5.4C(6), no non-party many obtain a copy of any unredacted statement of case.
d. Any person wishing to vary or discharge this Order must make an application, served on each party.
