-v-
PAMELA MAY BENTON
Before District Judge Falvey sitting in public at Crown Building Rivergate Peterborough on 31st August 2022.
The Court heard an application by Clarion Housing Association that Pamela May Benton be committed to prison for breach of an injunction made under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
The Court found that 51 specific breaches of that Order were proven to the criminal standard. These involved abusive language both directed at neighbours who were among those the Order was designed to protect and more generally, persistent noise nuisance (including in the early hours of the morning) and frequent altercations between the defendant and others in her house.
The Court imposed an immediate sentence of imprisonment for twelve months
