In the County Court sitting at Preston

7 August 2020

Between:
Chorley Community Housing Limited
-v-
Mr Anthony Cross

In the matter of Chorley Community Housing Limited v Mr Anthony Cross – case number G00PR574

District Judge Burrow sentenced Anthony Cross to a suspended committal order for contempt of court. The basis of that sentence was that Anthony Cross admitted breaching an Order made by the court on 10 June 2020 (“the injunction order”). The breaches admitted were that he entered an area he was forbidden to enter, namely St Gregory’s Place, Chorley as outlined on a map attached to the injunction, on four separate occasions. Those occasions were twice on 29 July 2020 and twice on 6 August 2020.

The court imposed a sentence of 28 days for each breach of the injunction order and directed that the sentences should run concurrently resulting in a total committal order of 28 days.

The court further directed that the sentences should be suspended until 4.00pm on 10 June 2021 on condition of Anthony Cross’s future compliance with the injunction order.
