Cornwall Council v Lisa Jones
In relation to the above numbered case on 19 July 2021, His Honour Judge Carr sitting in the County Court at Truro as a Circuit Judge of the County Court, sentenced the Defendant in that case, to a custodial sentence of 4 months for contempt of court on breach of an Injunction Order dated 2 September 2020. The basis of the sentence imposed is that Lisa Jones was in breach of the Injunction, by:
1. On Sunday 18 July 2021 at about 2.45PM, Lisa Jones walked towards Diane Gratwick and
Christine Sloane shouting “she’ll call the fucking police”, “Dianne you’re a fucking grass you are always calling the police”, “fucking call them you’re a fucking grass”, and repeatedly shouted and swore at Diane Gratwick and Christine Sloane.
2. Also on Sunday 18 July at about 3.40PM, Lisa Jones shouted and swore at Sarah Burnell and called her a “fat c***” and repeatedly shouted and swore when being arrested by the police.
These breaches were contrary to the terms of the Injunction Order dated 2 September 2021 to
which Lisa Jones was subject.
