UPON hearing from counsel for the Claimant and the Defendant attending and asking the court for time to get legal representation

Preamble:

A. The court reminded the defendant of his right to silence, privilege against self-incrimination and his right to obtain legal representation.
B. The Court granted the defendant’s application to adjourn in order to obtain legal advice and warned the defendant that the court may proceed to sentence on the next occasion in any event.
C. The Court reminded the Defendant that he is expected to comply with the injunction order made on 8 January 2024, which carries a power of arrest.

IT IS ORDERED THAT

  1. The sentencing hearing is adjourned to 12 September 2024 at 10am, within a one-hour time estimate for sentencing before District Judge Byass.
  2. The Claimant to produce a hearing bundle to be filed and served by 4pm on 8th August 2024.
  3. The Claimant to effect personal service of this order on the Defendant.
  4. There be costs in the case.
