Order

  1. On the 21 February 2025 this court committed Robert Dunn to prison in relation to orders dated 10 December 2024 as varied on 20 December 2024 (“the Injunction Order”) and which provided that the Defendant ought not to enter certain parts of Chopwell, Gateshead as described on a map attached to that order (“the Restricted Area”) and to associate with two named and vulnerable individuals.
  2. On 15 January 2025 is was found proven by the court that Robert Dunn had been in contact with one of the two named vulnerable individuals in breach of the order dated 10 December 2024 and sentencing was adjourned for further consideration and falls to be considered today.
  3. Today, Robert Dunn admitted that he had further breached the Injunction Order by:
    1. Entering the Restricted Area on 3 February 2025; and
    2. Associating with one of the two named vulnerable individuals on 18 February 2025.
  4. The Court imposed an 18 day sentence in respect of the breach dated 18 February 2025 and passed no further sentence for the earlier breaches.
  5. The sentence was reduced by 10 days in respect of time served whilst remanded in custody in respect of the three breaches before the Court today.
  6. Accordingly it was ordered that Robert Dunn be committed for contempt to His Majesty’s Prison at Durham for a total period of 8 days or until lawfully discharged if sooner.

UPON hearing from solicitor to the Claimant and Counsel for the Defendant

AND UPON the Court passing sentence in relation to admitted breaches and bringing forward sentencing for the breach found proven by the Court at trial on 15 January 2025

AND UPON there being no need for the hearing listed to take place on 2 October 2025 at North Tyneside Magistrates as a result of sentencing today

Order:

  1. The adjourned sentencing hearing due to take place at 10am on 2 October 2025 at North Tyneside Magistrates Court is hereby vacated.
