Order

UPON the Claimant filing and serving a Statement of Facts and Grounds and an application for reporting restrictions on 28 February 2024 and upon considering the Defendant’s response by email dated 18 March 2024.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

1. Pursuant to s 39 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 the Claimant’s name and prison number; the names or addresses of his immediate family members, and any other details (including other names, addresses, or a specific combination of facts) that could lead to the identification of the Claimant shall not be included in any publication.

2. In any judgment or report of these proceedings, or other publication (by whatever medium):
(i) The Claimant shall be referred to as “DUB”; and
(ii) Any other details which, on their own or together with other information publicly available, may lead to the identification of the Claimant (including any names of other immediate family members or their addresses) shall be redacted before publication.

3. The Defendant shall file and serve its Acknowledgment of Service by 4pm on 20 March 2024.

4. The Claimant may file and serve any reply to the Acknowledgment of Service by 4pm on 27 March 2024.

5. The papers shall thereafter be placed before a Judge to determine the question of permission as soon as possible, and in any event before 12 April 2024.

6. In the event that permission is granted, the Judge shall give further consideration at that time to the appropriate degree of expedition (if any) for the substantive hearing.

7. Liberty to apply on 24 hours’ notice.

8. Costs in the case.
