ORDER

UPON hearing Mr Levinson, Counsel for the Claimant, and the Defendant not attending or being represented at the assessment of damages hearing.

AND UPON consideration of the Claimant’s Article 8 right to respect for private and family life and the Article 10 right to freedom of expression.

AND PURSUANT to the provisions of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992; s11 Contempt of Court Act 1981; CPR Rule 5.4B to 5.4D and CPR Rule 39.2(4).

IT IS ORDERED that:
1 The Claimant shall be known as “FGX”. There shall be no reporting of the Claimant’s identity or any information that may reasonably be expected to lead to her identity being discovered.
2 Any person affected by paragraph 1 of this order may apply with 48 hours’ notice to vary paragraph 1 of this order.
3 Damages in the sum of £97,041.61 are awarded to the Claimant.
4 The Defendant is to pay the Claimant’s costs of the claim, on the standard basis, to be subject to detailed assessment in default of agreement.
5 The Defendant is to make a payment on account of such costs by paying £40,000 to the Claimant’s solicitors by no later than 4pm on 31 March 2023.
