UPON READING the Claimant’s Application Notice dated November 2024 and accompanying witness statement of Mr Kevin Donoghue dated November 2024
AND UPON IT APPEARING that the case is likely to or may attract publicity and that revealing the identity of the Claimant is likely to unfairly damage the interests of the Claimant and that accordingly publication of details revealing the Claimant’s identity ought to be prohibited
AND PURSUANT to Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992, Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 and CPR Rule 39.2(4).
IT IS ORDERED that: –
- The Claimant shall hereinafter be referred to in these proceedings as ‘FXY’.
- Pursuant to CPR rule 39.2(4), there shall not be disclosed in any report of theproceedings the name of the Claimant or any details leading to the identification of the Claimant (including, but not limited to addresses, school name, place of work or image) and they, if referred to, shall only be referred to as ‘FXY’.
- Pursuant to CPR rule 5.4C, a person who is not a party to the proceedings may obtain a copy of a statement of case, judgment or order from the court records only if the statement of case, judgment or order has been anonymised such that: (a) the Claimant is referred to in those documents only as ‘FXY’, and (b) the addresses, school name or place of work of the Claimant has been deleted from those documents.
