Anonymity order
THE UPPER TRIBUNAL ORDERS that, without the permission of this Tribunal:
No one shall publish or reveal the name or address of the Appellants in the proceedings listed below or any information that would be likely to lead to the identification of them or any member of their families in connection with these proceedings. The Appellants shall be identified only by the initials listed.
Any breach of this order is liable to be treated as a contempt of court and may be punishable by imprisonment, fine or other sanctions under section 25 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007. The maximum punishment that may be imposed is a sentence of two years’ imprisonment or an unlimited fine.
REASONS FOR DECISION
- I have made this order under rule 14(1) of the Tribunal Procedure (Upper Tribunal) Rules 2008 (SI No 2698).
- The purpose of the order is to protect the identity of the claimants in these cases. They are disabled and vulnerable to some extent. Moreover, they were not involved directly or personally in creating their tenancies; this was handled by others on their behalf.
- The first letter used to anonymise the claimant is M for Middlesborough cases and S for Sunderland cases. Otherwise, the letters have been allocated randomly. They are not the claimants’ initials. If the same claimant is party to more than one case, different letters are allocated to each case.
- This order applies to the following cases.
