UPON HEARING Elizabeth-Anne Gumbel one of Her Majesty’s Counsel, on behalf of the Claimant and Alexander Hutton one of Her Majesty’s Counsel, on behalf of the Defendant

WHEREAS the Claimant has made a claim (the “Claim”) against the Defendant for personal  injuries suffered by her arising out of the Defendant’s negligence on or about the 11 February  2013 and in respect of which proceedings were commenced by the Claimant against the  Defendant in the High Court of Justice Queen’s Bench Division and served upon the Defendant  on 12 July 2017

AND WHEREAS the Claimant is a Child and brings the Claim by her Mother and Litigation Friend, STU

IT IS ORDERED (NOT BY CONSENT)

  1. Pursuant to CPR rule 39.2 (4) there shall not be disclosed in any report of the proceedings the name or address of the Claimant or of the Claimant’s mother and Litigation Friend or any details leading to the identification of the Claimant; the Claimant and her mother if referred to, shall only be referred to as “PQR” and “STU” respectively
  2. Pursuant to CPR rule 5.4 C a person who is not a party to the proceedings may obtain a copy of a statement of case, judgment or order from the court records only if the statement of case, judgment or order has been anonymised such that: (a) the Claimant is referred to in those documents only as “PQR” and her mother as “STU” and (b) the address of the Claimant have been deleted from those documents
