Order

On an application by the Claimant for interim relief

Following consideration of the documents lodged by the Claimant

ORDER by the Honourable Mr Justice Bourne

1. Pursuant to s.11 Contempt of Court Act 1981, CPR Rule 5.4 C(4) (d) and CPR Rule 39.2(4), the Claimant is granted an Order protecting her anonymity and prohibiting publication of any details which might lead to her identification. The matter shall be known and reported as R (SN) v London Borough of Hackney. No non-party is to have access to statements of case, evidence or interlocutory orders, or any other court documents which might lead to the identification of the Claimant.

2. By way of interim relief, the Defendant shall provide support and accommodation to the Claimant in line with her claimed age until 22 July 2024.

3. The application for interim relief shall further be determined as follows:
a. The Defendant shall by 5pm on 17 July 2024 file and serve a written response to the Claimant’s application for interim relief.
b. The application shall be placed before a Judge on or before 22 July 2024 to decide what if any further order to make (and whether any oral hearing is needed).

4. Liberty to apply.

Reasons

1. In view of the evidence of the Claimant’s vulnerability and claimed age it is appropriate to grant anonymity and to grant interim relief to preserve the status quo pending the Defendant’s response and further determination by the Court of the Claimant’s application.
