Lady Chief Justice appears at the House of Lords Constitution Committee

The Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Rt Hon the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill, has given evidence to the House of Lords Constitution Committee.
Appearing on Wednesday (26 February 2025), Baroness Carr spoke about a number of topics, including the importance of the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary, transparency and open justice, court backlogs, international engagement, and ongoing work to increase the diversity of judicial office holders.
