By Appellants Notice filed on 6 September 2021, the Defendant appeals the order of HHJ Lethem dated 2 March 2020 sitting in Central London County Court dismissing an appeal and ordering the Defendant to pay the costs of the appeal.
This was an appeal against the decision of Deputy District Judge Arnold sitting in the Central London County Court whereby on 11 April 2019 he permitted the Claimant to amend the Particulars of Claim, heard the trial and subsequently gave judgment for the Claimant in the sum of £24,000 together with interest and costs.
Claimant is a company which assists clients to obtain commercial loans. Claimant says on/around 9 February 2017 (after earlier dealings between the parties) the Defendant entered into a agreement with the Claimant to obtain funding to purchase a property.
