This is a second appeal. The Applicant/debtor (A) appeals against the order made by Birss J (as he then was) dated 27/2/20 dismissing A’s appeal from the order of ICC Judge Burton making a bankruptcy order against him.
The A submits that the case raises a point of principle warranting permission to appeal under the second appeals test: whether the Court can either determine or endorse an immediate debt reduction that effectively renders the debt secured within the meaning of the Insolvency Act 1986.
