The Appellant appeals the order of Whipple J (as she was). of 15 November 2021 dismissing the Applicant’s challenge to the SSHD’s negative conclusive grounds decision of 11 November 2020.
The Judge accepted the Respondent’s view that the lies told by the Applicant to the police on first being encountered justified her in rejecting the Applicants trafficking claim on credibility grounds. It is argued that this case raises an important point of principle regarding the need for a Lucas direction.
