The Applicants apply for permission to appeal against the order of the High Court Dated 26 January 2026 regarding liability for the Fundão Dam collapse in Brazil in 2015. The Applicants are challenging the judgment that found them strictly liable under Brazilian Environmental Law and, alternatively, liable under Article 186 of the Brazilian Civil Code, while also contesting the rejection of limitation defences.
