By an Appellant’s Notice filed on 17 January 2026 and sealed on 22 January 2026, the Appellant appeals a decision of the Family Court dated 13 January 2026. The Appellant appeals the dismissal of her application for permission to oppose the making of adoption order.
The child was made the subject of an Interim Care Order and was placed in foster care with her half siblings.
At a fact-finding hearing in February 2024, the court found that the Appellant had neglected the children, caused emotional harm, failed to protect them from risks posed by the father, and prioritised that relationship over the children’s safety and wellbeing.
