By Appellant’s Notice filed on 7 December 2022 the Defendant seeks permission to appeal the order made by Mrs Justice Steyn dated 16 November 2022 following the trial of C’s claim in libel concerning his article on his website bearing title “serial abuser Rachel Riley to receive extra protection- on grounds that she is receiving abuse”.
The judge concluded that D’s belief that publication of the statement complained of was in the public interest was not reasonable.
