The General Osteopathic Council –v- Wray

This is an appeal against the Order of Collins Rice J (15/12/20) that allowed the appeal and quashed the decision of the Professional Conduct Committee (30/7/20).

Mr Wray, the Respondent, is an osteopath. On 30th July 2020, a Professional Conduct Committee of the General Osteopathic Council found him guilty of unacceptable professional conduct contrary to section 20(1)(a) of the Osteopaths Act 1993, and administered an admonishment.

Mr Wray came before a PCC after he self-reported a series of events he had been involved in which led to him pleading guilty before the Magistrates’ Courts to an offence of having an offensive weapon, he was sentenced to a six-month conditional discharge.
