The Appellant (Respondent 1 below) appeals against the order made by HHJ Johns QC (sitting as a Judge of the High Court) dated 13/7/20:
-finding the Applicant to be in contempt of court;
-directing that the matter be listed for sentencing before HHJ Johns QC.
The alleged acts of contempt arise out of insolvency proceedings concerning Grosvenor Property Developments Limited (the Company). The applicants below were the company and its liquidators. They complain that the Applicant had breached an order for disclosure of assets made as part of a freezing order and that he had made false written statements about what was done with the company’s money.
