New Judge in Charge of Intellectual Property
Mr Justice Meade has been appointed by the Chancellor of the High Court as Judge in Charge of Intellectual Property.
This role will encompass responsibility for the Patents Court, the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) with the support of HHJ Richard Hacon as its Presiding Judge, and the general B&PC intellectual property list.
Mr Justice Meade succeeds Lord Justice Birss, who was the Judge in Charge of the Patents Court until his elevation to the Court of Appeal in February 2021.
