The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) external link will be launching a selection exercise in April to recruit Salaried First-tier Tribunal Judges for the Tax Chamber.

The seminar

The Judicial Office is organising a pre-application seminar that will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Monday 24 March 2025 from 5-6.10pm.

The seminar aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up-to-date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process. As well as the JAC, you will also hear from President of the Tax Chamber Judge Sinfield, Judge Sukul and serving judges.

Who should attend?

Candidates are expected to have tax experience as a practitioner having dealt with complex tax issues at the highest level in the field of direct tax, indirect tax, or both.

Judicial office holders and practitioners from all backgrounds (including CILEX lawyers) who have five years’ legal post qualification experience are welcome to attend.
