The Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill
On 29 September 2023 it was announced by No.10 Downing Street that HM The King was graciously pleased to signify His intention of conferring a Peerage of the United Kingdom for Life on the incoming Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales. With the sealing of her Letters Patent today, Monday 6 November 2023, the Lady Chief Justice will henceforth by styled as The Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
It is anticipated that Lady Carr will be introduced to the House of Lords on 30 November.
