Chamber President of The Upper Tribunal

The Senior President of the Tribunals, Sir Jeremy Sullivan, has appointed The Honourable Mrs Justice Rose to be President of the Upper Tribunal Tax and Chancery Chamber with effect from 2 April 2015. The Honourable Mr Justice Warren will be standing down from the role on 1 April having served 6 years as the Chamber President.

The Honourable Mrs Justice Rose was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1984, she was appointed as a Part-time Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal in December 2005, as Legally Qualified Member of the Charity Tribunal in May 2008 and as a Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) in September 2009. She was also appointed as Recorder in October 2009, as a Deputy High Court Judge in May 2012, and as a High Court Judge of the Chancery Division in May 2013.
