Circuit Bench Retirement: Burgess
His Honour Judge John Edward Ramsay Burgess retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 10 April 2021.
Background information
His Honour Judge Burgess (65) was called to the Bar (M) in 1978. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1995, a Recorder in 2000, a part-time Judge Advocate in 2001 and a Circuit Judge in 2002. He was the Resident Judge at Derby Combined Court from 2008 to 2016 and the Honorary Recorder of Derby from 2009 to 2016.
